Top October'25 EV Sales
The latest numbers of EV sale volumes by variant reveal an interesting picture. I'll provide a snapshot of the top trends. If you have any question, you can ask in the comments.
Top 5 Models
- Windsor leads the race with 3,351 units
- Nexon EV follows with 2,553 units
- Mahindra XEV 9e in third with 2,216 units
- Harrier EV with 1,813 units
- Mahindra BE 6 with 1,658 units.
MG Windsor
No doubt users prefer the bigger battery but what is amazing is that they prefer the top spec in both the battery pack options. Essence sells over 92% in overall Windsor sales.
Mahindra Twins
The 79kWh battery sales are led by the XEV 9e Pack 3 with 1,418 units. Surprisingly though in Pack 2 variants, whereas XEV has clear preference for 79kWh, users seem to be equally divided for BE6.
Harrier EV
In Harrier EV, when it comes to the top model, 60% prefer the AWD. But when it comes to RWD, Fearless+ sells about 50% of total RWD.

@DeepakT Renault KWID EV is also on the cards. Hopefully they price it to compete with Tiago and Comet. Syros EV should rival variants of Punch and Nexon.
@Suhail Gulati Renault/Citroen are there but in India we follow herd mentality. New brands don't always do well.
I was expecting to see to Vinfast/Tesla nos. here as well

What's total ev sales v/s total car sales?

@Rakesh Will publish the overall Vahan data soon. But 18,373 EV sales as per the variant data. This excludes Telangana state.

No OEM seems to have cracked the Windsor Ev code ,everyone is struggling to hit that spot

Nexon still managing close to 3k after so many years indicates the dire need for a good cheap entry level EV & yes I'm not taking about Tiago/Comet.
